WHY SHOULD YOU USE REWILD YOUR SCHOOL?

Purposeful outcomes: ReWild Your School (RYS) is a hands-on program tailored to investigating & actively promoting local species.

Champion local animals: Each class will adopt a local species as a case study & provide purposeful & sustainable habitat in your grounds.

Full school term or intensive unit: We provide a thorough structure & resources for you to confidently lead a unit comprising 10 lessons. Fast track the program with our engaging incursion!

5E’s and STEM focus: Developed by environmental & teaching experts with clear curriculum links, teaching outcomes & engaging content.

HOW DOES REWILD YOUR SCHOOL WORK?

Students work through 10 ‘Actions’ (lessons) to apply purposeful, measurable and hands-on solutions to enhance habitat connectivity in your school area. Each class champions a different local animal as a case study for the program.

Each Action is an individual lesson addressing a key inquiry question following the 5 E’s framework. Students follow the lesson sequence through content in the workbook. The lesson sequence builds a deep understanding of the needs and sustainability of the Champion Animal via strategic questions, research, habitat assessment, habitat creation, communication, and monitoring.

Your students will feel empowered as they create purposeful habitat via making hands-on habitat projects and planting habitat for your Champion Animal and available space.
